Yes, you can take these drugs together, Just remember that phenergan also causes drowsiness. Be careful when sitting or standing. If you are over 60, be alert for the possibility of falls.

Ambien does not slow your metabolism, but that does not mean your metabolism has been not compromised from something else. It is common in certain SSRI's and other 3rd gerenation medication like seroquel and Zyprexa to slow down your metabolism and I would definetly have your Thyroid checked once a year if you are gaining weight if diet and exercise do not control weight gain.

For most people, Ambien's effects begin about 30 minutes or less after taking it. For that reason, it should be taken no longer than 30 minutes before going to bed because it can cause loss of coordination and concentration, as well as memory loss. It also works faster on an empty stomach - at least 2 hours after eating.

Consult your local pharmacist. He will know. I promise.Good Luck,DealConsult your local pharmacist. He will know. I promise.Good Luck,Deal I agree that you should probably be asking a doctor these questions and not random strangers online but if it helps I have been prescribed Concerta and Ambien together. I'm not a teen though... I'm 25. Ambien isn't one you would want to be on for a long period of time. One normally ends up having to up the dose.

Grapefruit changes the metabolism of certain perscription medications. You should definitely contact your pharmacy or physician to get a good answer, but there is an interaction warning between grapefruit and zolpidem (Ambien).

Yes, and so can any drug with the risk for dependence. However, if you are using it as prescribed by a doctor, you should be fine. Once again, however, all drugs carry known and relatively unknown side effects, so if you take it and start to feel depressed, immediately contact your physician.
